2025: The Year in Review

I don't think 2025 was anyone's favorite year. While it wasn't terrible for me personally, I'm not sad to see it go. I didn't meet a lot of the goals I set for myself, but that's okay. I accomplished a lot.

  • I published three short stories (Abigail appeared in Issue 3 of Night Frights published by Ghoulish, Harry's Side Hustle appeared in Volume 3 of 13 Days Publishing Clubhouse anthology series, Closer Than They Appear will be in Crystal Lake's Hotel Macabre Volume 2 later this month), one non-fiction article (Carrie: Blood Sacrifice which appeared in Lividian Press's Carrie's Legacy), one novella (Tunnel 17 which appears in Ruadan Publishing's Sinister Societies collection), one novel (The Ghost of Black Hill Road, the second book in my YA Hopedale Mystery Series), and edited my second anthology (The Rack II).

  • The Rack won the Imadjinn Award for Best Anthology as well as the first Haunted Minds Book Club Award for Best Anthology).

  • I attended TWENTY conventions/author events across eleven states.

  • I wrote over 110,000 words.

  • I finished writing the sequel to Eternal Darkness, and completed the first couple rounds of edits. The goal was to publish in 2025 but this one has been.a struggle to get it where I wanted it. The first draft was over 133K words! I've since cut it down to about 120K but it's still massive. It will be worth the wait, I promise.

  • I also ran about 500 miles, including five races ranging from 10K to half-marathon distance.

I'm hoping 2026 will be an even more productive year!
