Day 13 of the 2025 Halloween Horror Movie Marathon

ree

I've been waiting a long time to watch this one and it did not disappoint. Julia Garner, as always, was terrific. But it's the premise and excellent storytelling that carry the film. The weirdness of the way the kids went missing, the grief of the parents, and the obsession of the teacher are all played perfectly. And Cary Christopher as the lone child left in the classroom was absolutely mesmerizing.

The only thing I found a bit clunky was the repetition of events from different viewpoints. It added a lot of running time that made the film drag at times, but never enough for me to lose interest. One of the best movies I've seen this year.
