Day 14 of the 2025 Halloween Horror Movie Marathon

Well, they're not all winners. What started as a pretty good "stranger comes to town" flick devolved into a ridiculous shoot 'em up. Dan Stevens was a hard sell for me as the ex-military tough guy, but I was willing to go with it, mostly because Maika Monroe (It Follows, The Watcher, Longlegs) played a great role as the skeptical daughter. But even she couldn't save this one.

Not particularly scary, pretty predictable, and overall very forgettable. I think tomorrow will be a rewatch of something great to cleanse the palette.
