Day 2 of the 2026 Halloween Horror Movie Marathon

Sometimes you just gotta go old school for a horror movie. And who doesn't need more Kevin Bacon in their lives? With his lustrous, perfectly feathered hair, his cocky smirk, his snarky dialogue...this was pure Ren McCormack...you know, if he had to battle giant underground slugs. I was just waiting for the dance riutine which sadly never came.

Also, straight outta Family Ties you have Michael Gross as a gun nut/prepper/survivalist...I can't decide if it was great casting or a terrible mistake.

Anyway, Tremors. Overall, a fun, campy film. I watched when it first came out but this was my first rewatch. It felt like 1990 trying hard to cling to the late seventies/early eighties style of horror with little-to-no improvement on the special effects. Can't say I'll be looking for any of the sequels but this one is definitely worth a watch.
