Day 3 of the 2025 Halloween Horror Movie Marathon

You can't go wrong with Fear Street. This year's installment, Prom Queen, based in 1988, was great, campy fun. Think Mean Girls meets Prom Night and you get the picture. Some super gory kills and a couple decent plot twists in this one, making it a solid watch...as long as you know what to expect in a Fear Street movie.

The odd thing about Shadyside High—aside from all the murder and stuff—is that every student looks to be about thirty years old. Nothing a little suspension of disbelief can't fix! They nailed the soundtrack for this one and did a great job with the 80s fashion, but they missed the mark on the hair. 1988 was one of the big hair/mall bangs years and the film was way too tame with the hairdos.

Overall, a solid B and a lot of fun.
