Day 18 of the 2025 Halloween Horror Movie Marathon

I knew going in this was going to be a bad movie. I had no idea just how bad it would be. This ranks firmly in the bottom three of Stephen King adaptations along with The Lawnmower Man and The Dark Tower. Bad writing, terrible acting, and terrible special effects.

Horror-comedy has never been my thing, with a few exceptions (Ready or Not, The Babysitter) but this one...wow. They managed to take that creepy monkey and make it not scary. At the same time, what should have been amusingly over-the-top kills were just...bland and predictable.

It makes me want to take my fifty dollar Monkey popcorn tin and throw it in the trash...except what if it comes back?
