Many people know Paul from his 19th Edition Facebook group (and 19th Edition Press) and all the cool King-related memorabilia he creates. Paul is also a writer, photographer, graphic designer, and much more. I came across his work when he created a chapbook for Richard Chizmar. I immediately contacted him to design one for my short story, The Legend of Stingy Jack.
Knowing Paul's love for all things Stephen King, I knew I needed his perspective on IT for Still Floating. Pauls's essay, "The Enduring Power of Friendship in It by Stephen King," is beautifully written and captures the very essence of one of the novel's core themes.
I'm looking forward to seeing Paul at the launch party in Bangor and at King Con!
Paul's bio:
Paul Michael Kane is a creator drawn to the shadows–and the creative spark behind them–crafting works that blend suspense, horror, and noir into a single, cinematic voice. Whether building unsettling atmospheres, mythic symbolism, or gritty, street-level mystery, Kane’s works often revolve around striking contrasts: light versus dread, beauty versus ruin, the human heart versus what watches from the dark.An award-winning photographer, graphic designer, writer, bookbinder, and casemaker, he founded 19th Edition Press, which is the culmination of all his creative endeavors. Kane’s work is less about simple scares and more about immersion: the slow pull of mystery, the weight of omen, and the moment you realize the darkness in the corner has a name.He lives in the rolling hills of northern New Jersey with his wife Heather and their cat, Winnie.
