I first met Scott at StokerCon in San Diego, and last year I had the wonderful opportunity to participate on a panel moderated by him at last year's Imaginarium Convention. Scott's knowledge of all things horror is impressive, as is his passion for the genre. When I was creating the list of participants for Still Floating, Scott was a no-brainer.
Scott's essay for Still Floating, "Stephen King And the “IT” In All of Us," offers a unique perspective into King's handling of some of his most famous characters in IT as well as other works.
Scott's bio:
S.A. Bradley hosts the 5-time Rondo Award-nominated podcast, “Hellbent for Horror,” which explores all things horror across books, film, comics, and music. Director Guillermo Del Toro described the podcast as “well-researched, articulate, and entirely absorbing.” Bradley is the author of the Rondo-nominated book Screaming for Pleasure: How Horror Makes You Happy and Healthy. He is currently working on a follow-up book. Bradley’s short stories are published in the anthologies Shattered and Splintered, Shadows in the Stacks, A Night of Misfit Stories, and Punk Goes Horror. He is also working on a collection of short horror stories.
Bradley contributes articles in Medium Chill, EvilSpeak, Horrorhound magazines, and multiple online outlets. He’s lectured at Webster University, the University of the Pacific, and The College of Idaho and performed his live show, “My Horror Manifesto,” in NYC and at various horror conventions across the USA. Bradley’s convention guest appearances as a panelist/moderator/lecturer include San Francisco Fan-X, StokerCon, Salt Lake Fan-X, Mile-Hi Con, Confluence, TusCon, BayCon, Imaginarium, and others.
