I had no idea this movie existed. It is based on the excellent novel, Creepers, by David Morrell. Four urban explorers, along with a reporter, venture into the long-abandoned Paragon Hotel. Naturally, terrible shennanigans ensue.

While the film differs wildly it isn't terrible. Though, the minute they enter the building the writers decided that having one of the explorers go off on her own would be a believable plotline. Right.

Before the hotel excursion, their last explore was an anused portion of subway tunnel. There's a little nod to King when one of the characters (named Vern) yells "Train!" before they get to the unused tunnel. Oh, and one of the bad guys is Nicholas Hamilton, who played Henry Bowers in the 2017 film, IT. He basically plays the same character in this one, and just as poorly.

So, the plot goes off the rails but overall it's fun.
