Day 9 of the 2026 Halloween Horror Movie Marathon

Pretty sure I've watched this one before, but it's pretty forgettable so I can't be sure. Honestly, I picked it for the short run time, fully expecting it to suck. I was not wrong.

The main character is like a low-budget Rambo, drifting into town looking for a fresh start. He gets hired at the local mill by a shore-bound Temu-Quint and sent to work with a cast of small-town undereducated bullies. There are rats, and a weird Poltergeist-like cemetery subplot that was not part of the source story.

Finally, we almost get to see the creature and it's some mutant bat-rat hybrid though it's hard to tell with the poor lighting and worse special effects.

It was filmed in Maine, so it had that going for it.
